The Turkish media are reporting that Aktas has been indicted for premeditated murder. The indictment also states that the sentence lower than envisaged was sought because of "unjustified provocation," and that the victim "punched Aktas in the nose," after which the suspected killer stabbed him to death with a knife.
The indictment includes six more Turkish citizens.
The 25-year-old Serbian was killed in November in Istanbul, ahead of the basketball Euroleague game between Galatasaray and Red Star.
