A man has been arrested in western Serbia on suspicion that he deliberately started six fires in the area near the town of Ivanjica, all during last week.

A man has been arrested in western Serbia on suspicion that he deliberately started six fires in the area near the town of Ivanjica, all during last week. The suspect, identified as 61-year-old Miloje A., is believed to have started six different fires in the villages of Medjurecje and Prilike, and in the vicinity of the health-care center in Ivanjica itself. Suspected arsonist arrested for starting wildfires As a result, the blaze had spread to an oak wood, roadside bushes, a village cemetery, and three private households. There were no casualties in any of the incidents. The police filed criminal charges against the suspect, who will now face an investigative judge of the Municipal Court in Pozega, western Serbia.
