Nine Self-Determination members arrested

Activists of the Self-Determination Movement were arrested on Monday for obstructing a gathering dedicated to the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU.

Activists of the Self-Determination Movement were arrested on Monday for obstructing a gathering dedicated to the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU. The members of the radical ethnic Albanian movement also demolished the premises of the Institute for European Policy Studies in which the meeting was held. Nine Self-Determination members arrested Prior to the arrest, the Self-Determination supporters tried to interrupt the address of Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Redzepi, by heckling him, and calling him “a coward”, who "had done nothing in the north of Kosovo". French Ambassador to Pristina Jean Francois Fitou also attended the event. Following a warning that they had not been invited to the gathering, and that therefore they had to leave, members of the Self-Determination Movement started demolishing the Institute's premises.
