Two Serbians arrested and convicted in Italy on hooliganism charges have been deported to Serbia. Ivan Bogdanov and Nikola Klickovic caused unrest in Genoa during an Italy-Serbia official match last year. Pair of hooligans deported to Serbia B92 learned earlier today that both would be placed in custody once they arrive here. The First Basic Court's decision to immediately detain them is based on fears that Bogdanovic could repeat the offense. In Italy, he was convicted to three years and three months in prison. As for Klickovic, the guilty verdict against him - sending him to prison for four months, passed by a court in the Serbian town of Smederevo - is yet to become valid. In Italy, he received a three-year sentence. However, the Belgrade court said its officers were unable to deliver the Serbian verdict to Klickovic at his address, and explained that this would be the reason to arrest him today. Two more hooligans were found guilty and imprisoned in Italy over the same incident that happened in October of last year. Four others also found guilty but were earlier this year deported from Italy instead of serving jail-time, and received a five-year ban on entry to that country. (Beta, file)
