Witnesses to murder of Brice Taton have been intimidated and threatened and therefore keep changing their statements and avoid testifying, daily Blic reports. A young woman, who testified as a protected witness, said during the trial that she was scared for her safety, the daily writes. Witnesses to Frenchman’s murder threatened Defendant and one of the leaders of Alcatraz supporter group Ljubomir Markovic (30) then gave her a brazen wink. The young woman, who agreed to testify despite being evidently scared, was additionally frightened by this and the trial was in recess for about an hour until she recovered. Some witnesses avoid coming to the court, like Zarko Milekic who failed to appear at the last hearing. He is not answering his phone and neighbors say that person matching his description never lived at the address he gave to the police.
