Mobile digital mammography unit, bought with the help of donors and B92, was stoned in downtown Belgrade while the doctors were examining their patients. "I had a patient. Suddenly, I heard noise and then stoning and banging started, so my patient and I had to lie on the floor", Dr Milena Grcic said. Acting Director of the National Cancer Research Center Zoran Rakocevic said that the incident occurred around 10:30 CET when four or five patients were being examined. "Fortunately, no one was injured, but the damage is not insignificant," Rakocevic said. He added that the mammography is a procedure intended for early detection of breast cancer and that today was the normal working day for the mobile crew, so both the doctors and nurses were present.
