Police in several Vojvodina towns and Belgrade have arrested a group that accepted bribes in order to give workers disability pension. The leaders of the 11-member group are two doctors, which were taking bribes of in between EUR 3,500 – 5,000 to enable persons to receive disability pensions. Doctors arrested in corruption case Police (MUP) Director Milorad Veljovic said that doctors Rade Peric from Novi Sad and Rados Milanovic from Sombor were the leaders of the group. Police raided several locations in the towns of Sombor, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kula, Odzaci and Crvenka. Peric was a member of the so-called secondary commission in the provincial pension-disability insurance fund PIO, while Milanovic was a neuropsychiatric specialist. They are accused of enabling persons from Vojvodina to receive disability pensions from 2007 until 2010 by paying in between EUR 3,500 – 5,000 in bribes.

Police (MUP) Director Milorad Veljović said that doctors Rade Perić from Novi Sad and Radoš Milanović from Sombor were the leaders of the group.

Police raided several locations in the towns of Sombor, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kula, Odžaci and Crvenka.

Perić was a member of the so-called secondary commission in the provincial pension-disability insurance fund PIO, while Milanović was a neuropsychiatric specialist.

They are accused of enabling persons from Vojvodina to receive disability pensions from 2007 until 2010 by paying in between EUR 3,500 – 5,000 in bribes.
