The trial at the Belgrade District Court of notorious crime baron Sreten Jocic, charged on several counts of incitement to murder, has been postponed . According to Jocic's defense counsel Zdenko Tomanovic, the defendant suffered an epileptic fit yesterday, and is currently undergoing therapy. Murder trial of crime boss Jocic postponed The beginning of the trial has been rescheduled for April 7. Jocic is accused of coercing Miodrag Prodanovic and Bojan Milosavljevic, and then reaching an agreement with them in July 1995, to kill one Goran Marjanovic and another individual, nicknamed Duca, for a fee of DM 50,000. According to the indictment, the defendant gave them a vehicle bearing Italian number plates and two Heckler and Koch automatics for the job. Milosavljevic and Prodanovic murdered Marjanovic and his girlfriend Marija Djordjevic, and wounded several bystanders in a cafe at the Olimp sports center in Belgrade. The two men were sentenced to 15 years in jail for the murders, while Jocic is currently free on bail.
