A former chief of Novi Sad's Pulmonary Disease Institute intensive care is facing criminal charges. The director of the institute, Aleksandar Milovancev, filed a criminal complaint against Sava Nenic, that includes allegations of murder. Doctor accused of illegal experimenting, euthanasia Milovancev accused Nenic of conducting illegal experiments on patients and using them to illegally test medication, and of administering a fatally high dose of morphine to one female patient, effectively euthanizing her. Nenic denied all accusations and said one of the drugs mentioned was analyzed in several institutions in the country, including the Kamenica Institute, while another was used "with concent from the patient's brother, based on experiences from abroad". He also strongly denied allegations that he performed euthanasia. Nenic said he found it strange that the case reached the public four years after the controversial events took place, and that at the time, "of the three doctors signing every discharge and death certificate, none noticed anything strange". Both Milovancev and Nenezic said they have documents to prove their claims.
