BELGRADE TV Nova is the only outlet that has officially submitted documentation to compete to be given the national broadcasting license held by TV Avala. The competition's deadline expires today, and bids are submitted to Serbia's Broadcasting Agency (RRA). So far only one bid for TV Avala's license Deputy RRA Director Goran Karadzic told the Beta news agency that the exact number of those who expressed an interest will be known after 48 hours, since it is possible for offers to be sent by mail. He said that he received a telephone call from "another broadcaster" on Tuesday, announcing they would officially submit the necessary documentation. However, Karadzic said he could not say "who it was exactly." TV Avala ceased operations in November 2012, after RRA revoked its license to broadcast, and the media outlet decided not to appeal the decision.
