Serbian President Boris Tadic said Saturday Serbia would react on time to prevent effects of new wave of economic crisis. After a meeting between government and company and bank officials, he said he believed Serbia would record positive economic growth next year as well. "Serbia will react to new crisis wave on time" "This meeting occurs at a moment when we can expect an economic impact in 2012 and it has already started, but it is important that Serbia is dealing with the crisis," he said. "There is certain possibility for some companies that cannot survive in countries with high labor prices to come to Serbia, and that is already happening," the president explained. “Regardless of the measures taken, the people should not be given promises, since there are no certain parameters to base those promises on,” he added. "It is best not to promise the citizens anything about our success. There has been enough promises. Time has come to act differently, because no one can foresee what the global economy security and politics will look like," Tadic said. “Companies and unions should take their part of the responsibility and help reach agreement on economic policy measures,” he concluded.
