Serbia's annual export to Germany could be at EUR 2-3bn, head of the Delegation of the German Economy to Serbia Michael Schmidt told Tanjug Saturday. “It is realistic to expect Serbia's export to Germany to reach EUR 1bn in 2011, because it is already 33 percent higher than in the same period last year,” Schmidt stated. Serbia’s export to Germany “could be worth EUR 3bn” “The preliminary data for March show that the trade between the two countries is still on the rise,” he added. According to Schmidt, export is up because of German investments and the fact that many German companies have started producing their goods in Serbia. “The delegation is the largest organization of its type in Serbia, with over 180 members,” he pointed out. Schmidt stated that the delegation was established 10 years ago and represents the German Chamber of Commerce.
