In the first five months of this year, Serbia recorded a surplus in trade with the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) countries worth USD 497.7mn.

In the first five months of this year, Serbia recorded a surplus in trade with the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) countries worth USD 497.7mn. This came mostly as a result of exports of agricultural produce, including grains and related products, as well as different types of beverages, the Statistical Office has announced. CEFTA trade surplus USD 500mn Serbia imported from CEFTA countries mostly iron and steel, electricity, and non-metal mineral products. Serbia's exports from January to May were worth USD 918.9mn, while imports reached USD 421.2mn. Last year, Serbia recorded a surplus in trade with CEFTA worth USD 1.8bn.
