Inflation in Serbia, measured using EU methodology, was 1.4 percent in November, announced the Statistical Office. Inflation in the first 11 months of 2007 reached 9.7 percent. Inflation in November: 1.4 percent Under EU methodology, inflation is measured on the basis of average changes in the prices of retail goods and services, and includes rent, as well as financial, educational and hospitality services. According to the announcement, retail prices for goods and services increased 9.3 percent between November 2006 and November 2007. The Statistical Office said that, in November, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages had seen the biggest increases of 3.2 percent, transport 1.5 percent, clothes and footwear 1.3 percent, and hotel and restaurant prices 0.6 percent. Measured by standard Statistical Office methodology, inflation in Serbia came to 1.1 percent, and 8.7 percent for the first eleven months of the year.
