Serbia seeks to boost ties with Kuwait

The Serbian government announced on Monday that it passed a conclusion approving the signing of the executive program on cultural cooperation with Kuwait.

It concerns the period between 2017 and 2019.

The program is expected to establish better conditions for strengthening cultural exchange through encouraging and supporting direct contacts between the institutions of culture of Serbia and Kuwait, the government said.

The Serbian government "agreed that the executive program be signed on behalf of Serbia by Minister of Culture and the Media Vladan Vukosavljevic."

Also in Belgrade on Monday, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic received Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Suleiman Al-Jarallah.

According to a statement, they " confirmed the traditionally close and friendly relations between the two countries and expressed readiness for their further improvement."

The talks "highlighted the need to intensify political dialogue, as well as strengthen economic and investment cooperation."


Anti-Corruption Agency gets new director

Dejan Damnjanovic, the head of the cabinet of former Anti-Corruption Agency Director Tatjana Babic, has been appointed as the agrency's new director.
