The Hague Tribunal expressed concern after the assault on former Republika Srpska Army General Radislav Krstic in Wakefield Prison, in Britain. Hague has received with concern the report on the assault on Krstic while serving his sentence, spokesperson Nerma Jelacic said, according to Tanjug. Krstic's condition after the assault is stable and he is being kept in isolation in the prison hospital. Krstic had been in command of the Republika Srpska Drina Corps and was arrested based on a Hague indictment in December 1998. He was found guilty of genocide in Srebrenica and sentenced to 46 years in prison, but that was later changed to aiding and abetting genocide and shortened to 35 years.
