NOVI SAD The EXIT music festival has opened at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, north of Belgrade with a fireworks display. As in previous years, the largest music event in the Balkans and one of the largest festivals in Europe gathered thousands of visitors from all corners of Europe. EXIT music festival opens The program for the first night was entirely on the main stage. Serbian musician Marcelo and his band Iskaz were the first to take to the stage. They were followed by the Viva Vox choir and then the opening ceremony. The star of the first night was Nile Rodgers and his band Chic. Rodgers is one of the most important music producers, having worked on "ten greatest albums in music history," including Madonna's, David Bowie's and of other stars, Tanjug is reporting.
