BELGRADE Serbian police arrested Ljubomir Samardzic on Friday morning in Belgrade on suspicion of being involved in abuses in the Agrobanka case, B92 has learnt. The police suspect that Samardzic’s four companies received five loans that have never been repaid. The suspect therefore incurred damages worth EUR 10mn to Agrobanka. Police arrest another suspect in Agrobanka case 21 persons were indicted three weeks ago for abuses in the bank worth RSD 5.7mn. B92 has learnt that Samardzic’s companies took the disputable loans in 2010 and 2011 and it is suspected that several laws on banking were violated in the process. (file) B92 RTS
