Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Cedomir Jovanovic says the formation of institutions in Pristina is important for the start of Belgrade-Pristina talks. Healso said the election of Behgjet Pacolli as president of Kosovo offers an opportunity for new people, unburdened by the past, to be involved in the negotiations. LDP on election of Kosovo govt., president Jovanovic said there are no longer any formal or practical reasons to delay the talks between Belgrade and Pristina, adding that they are of key importance for the future of both peoples and "a chance that should not be missed." Jovanovic noted that any instability and political irresponsibility go against the interests of both Serbs and ethnic Albanians, as well as the region, according to a statement issued by LDP. Jovanovic congratulated the members of the Independent Liberal Party on entering the Kosovo government and "getting important posts," which in his opinion, "allows the Serb community to act as a bridge in the talks, while carefully considering the interests of the Serbs they represent in the new government."
