Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) leader Vojislav Kostunica said that a possible partnership between the SNS depends on the party’s stance on the EU. He said that cooperation would depend on whether Serbia's EU accession is a priority for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). DSS: Cooperation with SNS depends on EU stance In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Kostunica said that the current government is "ruining and demeaning Serbia" with its EU-centered policy, while problems within the EU make it uncertain whether Serbia will ever become a member, but it is "in any case clear that this will not be possible in the next ten years." "The key question is whether SNS, like the current government, considers its number one priority that Serbia join the EU, which has been trying to steal Kosovo from us, especially through EULEX," Kostunica said. According to him, the people understand that since 2008 the EU has sided with Albanian secessionists, and the EULEX mission has directly supported the creation of the false state of Kosovo. SNS, New Serbia and the Socialist Movement started talks on Monday and agreed on a joint strategy in the goal of changing state policies and getting new parliamentary elections announced. SNS deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic said Tuesday that a meeting with DSS should take place later in the week.
