Olli Rehn says Serbia will initial its agreement with the EU after better cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. The EU Enlargement Commissioner said in Brussels on Friday that the European Commission would be able to initial a Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) with Serbia if Belgrade "further intensifies" its cooperation with the Hague. "We completed the technical negotiations and we may be able to initial the agreement if Serbia intensifies its cooperation further," Rehn told reporters. He added the initialing of agreement requires full cooperation with The Hague, "which implies actions that will lead towards location, arrest and transfer of Ratko Mladic and other indictees." An evaluation of a full cooperation is necessary for the signing of the SAA, but Rehn has the right to initial the agreement without a special decision of the Council.
