The front pages today continue to lead with speculation on the progress and results of the cabinet talks, while some newspapers show signs of weariness. ALO—"Poisonous cutlery arrives in Serbia", the front page says of Chinese goods that are allegedly a health risk. Press: "Brainwashers mislead public" "Djilas misses Miskovic by inches", the tabloid innocently complains that "in the absence of real information about cabinet talks brainwashers mislead the public, media and politicians on a daily basis", and explains how a journalistic ambush by its reporters in a Belgrade restaurant – on a tipoff presumably from one of the "brainwashers" – instead of promised Ivica Dacic, netted Dragan Djilas of the DS, and some time later Delta Holding owner Miroslav Miskovic. BLIC—"SPS party leadership wants to form government with DS", the daily says as it brings its latest on the cabinet talks. An interview with Socialist (SPS) official Milutin Mrkonjic is also on the front page: "Premier must introduce European conditions here". "Vidic: Chelsea is strong, but trophy is ours", Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United says ahead of the European football's biggest game of the season, the Champions League final in Moscow. BORBA—"New rule in Belgrade?", looks at the announced deal between the Radicals, the Socialists and the DSS-NS to produce mayor and local government in the capital. "Finalization of deal", says that a Fiat delegation is once again in Kragujevac, more specifically visiting Zastava carmaker there. VECERNJE NOVOSTI—While some dailies say Socialists are likely to go with the DS, this one claims they are "finalizing" a deal of their own with the SRS-DSS-NS: "Portfolios distributed". Away from all that, in the south of France, at the Cannes Film Festival, director Emir Kusturica met with Diego Maradona: "Kusturica and Maradona play [football] in Cannes"; the daily documents this with a picture on the front page. GAZETA—"Tadic, chill out", the tabloid tells the president and the leader of the Democrats, and says his party has "let down the main principles of democracy" when it called on Serbians to take it to the streets if SRS-DSS-NS-SPS manage to come on top of the struggle to form the next government. Not only that, but "Serbia losing millions while they wrangle", looks at the cost of waiting for that new cabinet. GLAS JAVNOSTI—"Vucic at helm of Belgrade?", is about the negotiations to determine who will rule in the capital. "Kusturica and Maradona arrive", more from Cannes. "Fest starts", informs that the Eurovision semifinals are about to begin. DANAS—"Radicals one step away from power", the liberal daily says. "Auditors check spending of state money", says that the State Auditing Commission "could start working" soon. KURIR—"Vucic definitely", the tabloid says of the outcome of the coalition-making process in Belgrade. "Debacle or spectacle", it cannot make up its mind on Eurovision. "For Toma and Voja", veteran Socialist Borka Vucic reveals her preferences in an interview. POLITIKA—Another daily says that the SRS-DSS-NS-SPS talks have entered the critical phase: "Socialist distribute portfolios". "Maradona and Kusturica dribble in Cannes", more from the south of France. "VMA: Patriarch conscious and communicative", brings the latest on the health of the ailing head of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC). "Russia wants Lajcak to leave", says that Moscow has asked the UN Security Council to scrap the OHR role in Bosnia. PRESS—"My German shepherd Reks caused Jocic's crash", the tabloid produces a confession from one Dragan Jovanovic, who says he owned the dog that was hit by Interior Minister Dragan Jocic's car earlier this year. "Eurosong madness", is also on the front page.
