Faruk Begolli, a Kosovo actor and drama professor, passed away in Pristina Wednesday. Begolli was born in 1944, in Pec, western Kosovo. He graduated from the University of Belgrade Drama Faculty, to star in more than 70 films and television series, establishing himself as one of the most popular actors in the former Yugoslavia. Renowned Kosovo actor dies For a short period he was the chairman of the Film Artists Union of Yugoslavia, to later take over as head of Pristina's Dodona Theater. Begolli was the founder of the Drama Arts Faculty at the University of Pristina, where we was a professor. His performances were recognized at home and abroad with numerous awards throughout his career. Begolli's funeral in Pristina will be attended by immediate family.
