Security assessments "won't stop PM from going to Sarajevo"

"It's an ideal opportunity to demonstrate that Serbia has nothing to hide, nor is it playing a double game. We play fair, with open cards. Our cards are open because we think we are conducting a policy that sincerely wants to solve problems and look to the future," Dacic said, as quoted by Beta.

He also assessed that Serbia "kept its cool" when it comes to the request for revision of the ICJ ruling in the Bosnia vs. Serbia genocide lawsuit - which has been rejected by the court.

As for the Kosovo Assembly resolution demanding a suspension of the dialogue with Belgrade "until Ramush Haradinaj has been freed" - Dacic said this was "a bluff" and added that he does not believe Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and other Pristina representatives "worry about Haradinaj very much."

"This is about something else, I think there are fears about the specialist court (for KLA crimes) treatment of other officials from Kosovo. It's an unprecedented case. It's as if Serbia did not wish to take part at all in the dialogue because someone had been arrested or convicted," Dacic said.

Asked "whether the EU will allow the dialogue to be stopped," Dacic said the EU "must take active part in the solving of the problem."

"That's why I said 'good morning'. They must acquaint themselves with the problems, just so that there isn't also a 'goodbye'. That means they must take active part in all that, the EU is the one that dictates. The EU is the one leading the dialogue and the negotiations... I think this is not even a slingshot. It's only a bluff and if someone falls for that bluff that means they don't deserve to sit in Brussels," said Dacic.
