Deputies will debate 16 legal proposals and other acts during the first sitting, and will also have the opportunity to seek information from the government during the regular "question time" envisaged by the rules of procedure.

Draft bills seeking to amend laws on chemicals, biocide products, and integrated prevention of environmental pollution will be on the agenda. Deputies are also expected to confirm agreements between Serbia and Uruguay and Algeria on cooperation in areas of veterinary services and animal health, respectively.

Another agreement on the agenda is that reached between the Serbian government and the Ukrainian cabinet of ministers on cooperation regarding plant quarantine and plant protection.

Deputies will also debate and vote on two protocols on tourism and forestry stemming from the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians.

Another item on the agenda will be the list of candidates for membership in the National Council for High Education, election of judges running for their positions for the first time, and changes and amendments to the Decision on Election of Members and Deputy Members of Parliamentary Committees.

The Serbian parliament meets twice a year in regular session - the first beginning on the first work day in March, and the second on the first work day in October.
