Serbia’s Ministry for Kosovo State Secretary Oliver Ivanovic has stated that he does not understand why KFOR started its barricade removing operation. KFOR troops blocked roads leading from Zvecan to the village of Rudare and a concrete barricade in the village of Dudin Krs in an attempt to remove the barricades. KFOR made risky move, state secretary says Northern Kosovo Serbs gathered near the barricades but according to witnesses, KFOR troops started shooting at them and used teargas. The state secretary has assessed that KFOR “made a very risky move” at the barricades near Rudare. Ivanovic has confirmed that at least three people were wounded in the shooting in the village of Rudare. According to him, Pristina and KFOR are using the institutional vacuum in Serbia in order to change the situation in the field. The state secretary told B92 that this was undoubtedly going to be a difficult day for the Kosovo Serbs.
