“Future generations should solve Kosovo issue”
We cannot solve the Kosovo issue now, the only thing we can do is leave it to some future generations, Serb Radical Party (SRS) official Dragan Todorović says.

We cannot solve the Kosovo issue now, the only thing we can do is leave it to some future generations, Serb Radical Party (SRS) official Dragan Todorovic says. He told B92 late on Wednesday that a solution for the Kosovo issue was certainly not recognition of Kosovo’s independence. “Future generations should solve Kosovo issue” “Kosovo is a huge problem. A historic one. All generations have tried to solve it, we cannot solve it but we must not accept Kosovo’s independence. The only thing we can do is to let the future generations, that are more competent than us, solve Kosovo’s independence issue instead of accepting Kosovo’s independence,” Todorovic stressed. Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) deputy leader Ivan Andric did not agree with the SRS official and said he was sure that this was not the right solution since the problem could not be frozen like that. “The only normal plan for solving of the Kosovo issue is Europeanization of Kosovo,” he pointed out. Todorovic noted that LDP only wanted the state to accept Kosovo’s independence. The two politicians also discussed news from the EU, mainly the fact that Serbia should officially get the EU candidate status on Thursday. “More than 50 percent of the Serbian citizens are against the EU accession because they are slowly realizing that this is not good for Serbia. What is important to us is that all that has been done regarding the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina represents a traitorous act,“ the SRS deputy leader stressed. He said that every serious researcher would confirm that more than 50 percent of the citizens were against the country's EU accession but that the authorities were trying to convince the public that the majority wanted to see Serbia in the EU, which was not true. Andric, on the other hand, said that “it is no secret” that the EU’s popularity had dropped but added that citizens’ support to LDP had increased, adding that he expected the party to win “ten percent of the votes” in the upcoming elections.
