European Commission (EC) report on Serbia has already been written and the Commission is now working out some minor details, daily Vecernje novosti writes. The only part that is unfinished is the one that refers to Kosovo. Daily: EC report on Serbia already finished Everything that refers to economic and social reforms has been finished, and the only part that is still open is the one that refers to northern Kosovo. According to Serbian authorities’ estimates, the part on Kosovo will remain open until October 12 when the report is scheduled to be published. The report will then be forwarded to all EU member states which will voice their opinion by December 9 when Brussels will formally announce whether Serbia will get the EU candidate status. According to announcements so far, Serbia will get the EU candidate status, the Serbian government has said. This will mean that cancellation of gay Pride Parade, despite European Parliament Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin’s statements, will not affect the EC decision. The Serbian government, however, points out that the government representatives have had meetings with all EU ambassadors in Belgrade last week, including Head of the EU Mission to Serbia Vincent Degert and that the Pride Parade was not discussed. The Serbian officials pointed out that the government had instead presented everything it had done regarding adoption of EU regulations and their implementation.
