K. Albanians expect agreement on freedom of movement

The head of the Pristina delegation in the ongoing Kosovo dialogue says the signing of a freedom of movement agreement was possible by the end of the week. Edita Tahiri spoke on Monday to state that this could take place before a visit by Catherine Ashton, the EU's foreign policy chief, Beta news agency reported. K. Albanians expect agreement on freedom of movement Ashton is expected in Belgrade and Pristina. Tahiri told Radio Kosovo that the stances of both delegations were similar as far as issues concerning freedom of movement, trade, energy and telecommunications were concerned. Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Redzepi also told the Pristina media that both sides' stances had become more harmonized and that if both sides agreed, the agreement could be signed this week, before Ashton's arrival. He said that the freedom of movement agreement related to the use of personal and travel documents. Pristina-based Albanian language daily Express, citing anonymous sources, writes that an agreement on freedom of movement would be reached before Ahston's visit to Belgrade on May 26 and Pristina on May 27.
