Serbian President Boris Tadic and Bosnian Serb republic, RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik met late on Wednesday in Belgrade. They agreed that the relations between Belgrade and Banja Luka were very good and that the cooperation was deepening, particularly in the domain of economy. Serbian president, RS premier meet “The relations between RS and Serbia are deepening in keeping with the agreement on parallel and special ties, and having in mind the global economic crisis, we can conclude that the cooperation and investments are growing,” Tadic said at a press conference following his meeting with RS Prime Minister. According to a Tanjug news agency report, Dodik agreed that relations were good, and added that speculations, in which some people were inclined to indulge, were malevolent. RS prime minister pointed to the importance of Serbia's role in the region, emphasizing particularly that Serbia “has returned to the core of Dayton Accord” and warned against the tendency in Bosnia-Herzegovina to follow “the spirit of Dayton, instead of the word of Dayton” with the aim of centralizing the country. “The understanding we have with Serbia is absolute and clear,” Dodik said. He also pointed out that Serbian president's latest activities in the region help raise confidence to a higher level. RS prime minister noted that one of the dominant themes discussed during today's meeting referred to economic cooperation. Dodik expressed gratitude to Tadic for enabling RS to come into contact with Chinese companies participating in the construction of the Zemun-Borca Bridge in Belgrade, and said that the contact has already brought forth positive results as the company's representatives visited Banja Luka on Wednesday.
