Head of the Vojvodina government Bojan Pajtic said on Friday he expects the Vojvodina statute to go into effect fully in 2010. By the end of 2010, the Vojvodina administration will take over its full powers in all sectors, he told B92 TV. Pajtic expects statute to go into effect The statute lays the foundations for the Development Bank, which will grant credit lines to the economy and agriculture in January or February, he said. The Vojvodina Statute sets out about 150 new powers for the province, and the process of its implementation will last a few months, he said. Pajtic does not expect any problems in the implementation of the statute. Some of the powers, such as opening a representation office in Brussels, will be possible only in 2011, when Serbia becomes a candidate for EU membership, he said.
