Tadić opposes conflict with EU

“If someone thinks that the right thing to do today is to enter a conflict with the EU in a stupid argument of whether our 6:0 loss to Argentina is a greater success than Finland not qualifying for the World Cup in football at all, then I have nothing to do with this kind of political communication.” Tadić said.

Serbia ’s recently-elected Deputy Prime Minister Ivana Dulić-Marković said that the tensions between Brussels and Belgrade have decreased since her meeting late last week with EU officials.

“I think that everyone has dropped the ball; our side and the European side. We must cooperate but we must also keep in mind that our parliament adopted a deceleration regarding integration into the EU, it was not the European Parliament adopting one for Serbia, and we must behave in that manner.” Dulić-Marković said.
