BELGRADE A coalition agreement was signed in Belgrade on Tuesday afternoon paving the way for the election in parliament of Serbia's new government. The document - the details of which B92 has had access too ahead of the ceremony today - was inked by officials of the Serb Progressive Party (SNS), the Socialist Party of Serbia-United Pensioners of Serbia-United Serbia (SPS-PUPS-JS) coalition and the United Regions of Serbia (URS). Coalition deal signed, paving way for new cabinet The deal was signed at the SNS party headquarters by the leaders of the SNS, SPS, PUPS and URS, Aleksandar Vucic, Ivica Dacic, Jovan Krkobabic and Mladjan Dinkic. On Monday evening it seemed that the signing of the agreement was uncertain, after the Pensioners (PUPS) objected to the outcome of the cabinet negotiations led between the major parties. However, during the night, all problems were resolved, as SPS leader Ivica Dacic held a meeting with PUPS leaders. The deal was signed at the SNS party headquarters by the leaders of the SNS, SPS, PUPS and URS, Aleksandar Vučić, Ivica Dačić, Jovan Krkobabić and Mlađan Dinkić.

On Monday evening it seemed that the signing of the agreement was uncertain, after the Pensioners (PUPS) objected to the outcome of the cabinet negotiations led between the major parties.

However, during the night, all problems were resolved, as SPS leader Ivica Dačić held a meeting with PUPS leaders.

Last month, the Serbian president gave the mandate to put together a ruling coalition and head the next government as prime minister to Ivica Dačić.
