BELGRADE Serbia’s Deputy PM Suzana Grubjesic says that after everything that Serbia has done, no country will be able to find an excuse not to give it an EU talks date. “I want to believe that we are closest to the date now. We did everything we were supposed to. No country will be able to find an excuse,” she told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). Minister: We are close to EU talks date The deputy PM noted that the date itself was not the point but the fact that all countries changed for the better during the accession talks and that the same would happen to Serbia. Grubjesic expressed hope that an agreement on the implementation of the Belgrade-Pristina agreement would be reached in the next ten days. “The implementation plan should be made in the spirit of the agreement and no one can add things that do not exist in the agreement,” she pointed out. She also believes that the EU will not allow the agreement that was hard to reach to fail. Grubjesic noted that the government was working hard in order to reach consent and an agreement with Kosovo Serbs. “We understand everything and they need to understand what they get with this agreement and that is greater security,” she explained.
