Edita Tahiri is no longer a chief of the Pristina team in the talks with Belgrade, Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore writes. The daily writes that the decision was made by Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci. "Thaci sacks Pristina negotiator in Kosovo dialogue" According to Koha Ditore, this marks the end of the technical dialogue and announces the beginning of the political talks. The daily reports that EU Facilitator in the Belgrade-Pristina talks Robert Cooper and Thaci only discussed technical issues at a meeting on Thursday because Cooper was not sure that he would remain the facilitator in the dialogue either. The political dialogue should allegedly begin after the new Serbian government has been formed. Belgrade officials have also stated that the negotiations should be taken to a higher, political level. However, Kosovo Deputy Foreign Minister Petrit Selimi has denied the information. “In the center of Pristina’s attention right now is the implementation of the agreements that have been reached so far, including the agreement on freedom of movement and the integrated management of crossings,” he told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). Selimi stressed that the composition of the negotiating team had never been questioned and that it was less important the implementation of the agreements. Edita Tahiri (Beta, file) Beta
