Kosovo Serb remanded in custody for 15 days

The Kosovska Mitrovica Municipal Court has remanded Jovica Miljkovic in custody for 15 days. Miljkovic is suspected of being a part of a group that destroyed a Kosovo police (KPS) guard house in the neighborhood of Tri solitera about a month ago. Kosovo Serb remanded in custody for 15 days His defense attorney Ljubomir Pantovic has said that his client, who was arrested on Thursday morning, was transferred to prison in Pristina on Friday afternoon. He explained that Miljkovic was suspected of being a member of a group that prevented police officers from performing their duty and destruction of property. Pantovic said that the judge believed that Miljkovic and the other members of the group had tried to prevent KPS officers from setting up a checkpoint and that they had destroyed it afterward. He stressed that his client just happened to be at the scene when the incidents happened because he worked in the UNMIK municipality which is located in the vicinity.
