"Serbs are no minority in Montenegro"

Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic has stated that Belgrade is not interfering in Montenegro's internal affairs. She also noted it was unacceptable for the Serbs in Montenegro to have the status of a minority. "Serbs are no minority in Montenegro" In an interview for the Podgorica-based daily Vijesti, Djukic-Dejanovic did not answer the question of whether Serbs were entitled to the status of a constitutive people in Montenegro. She said that there are no Serbian officials who exert pressure on Montenegro's decisions regarding the population census in that country. Djukic-Dejanovic pointed out that, during the talks with her Montenegrin counterpart Ranko Krivokapic, she did not get the impression that he had "something against Serbia's official policy towards Montenegro".
