Export of Serbia-made Fiat 500ls starts
The first shipment of new Fiat 500L cars left Kragujevac, central Serbia, on Monday on the way to the Port of Bar in Montenegro.

BELGRADE The first shipment of new Fiat 500L cars left Kragujevac, central Serbia, on Monday on the way to the Port of Bar in Montenegro. From there, the vehicles will be transported to Italy by sea. Export of Serbia-made Fiat 500ls starts Fiat 500L produced by Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS) in Kragujevac were transported to the port by 16 wagons. “This is the first export of the new car aimed at buyers in Italy,” Nunzio Di Bartolo, FAS production manager, told journalists, stressing that a new contingent of 206 vehicles will be shipped to Bar by the end of the week. Di Bartolo underlined that besides by rail, the new model will also be transported by road. He underlined that the factory's plan is to produce 500 cars per day, and to reach the output of 30,000 by the end of the year. The serial production of the Fiat 500L car began on July 4 in Kragujevac. Annual production of between 120,000 and 180,000 cars is planned in 2013, depending on the market situation.
