An Egyptian natural gas terminal near the border with Israel, that supplies gas to Israel and Jordan, was hit by an explosion on Wednesday. It shut down Egypt's export pipeline, reports Israeli daily Haaretz. Egyptian officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said they did not say if explosion was due to sabotage or an accident, the newspaper said on its website. In late March, gunmen planted explosives at the terminal but they failed to detonate when the same terminal near the town of El-Arish was previously targeted.
