"EXIT important for Serbia's image abroad"

Vucic thanked the organizers of EXIT for making the festival a top European and international brand and promised that the government will continue to support the event.

"Thank you for using the funds - which were not trivial for the government but certainly not too large for the festival - in a rational and transparent way, and for helping Serbia improve its image abroad, which is now the most positive in the past 20 years,” said Vucic.

The prime minister expressed hope that this year's EXIT will be a success too and attract even more tourists.

Continue the tradition of winning awards, Vucic told EXIT organizers.

EXIT Festival's strategic director and founder of the Sea Dance Festival Dusan Kovacevic pointed out that, with two EFA awards under its belt, the festival is “a small miracle“.

This goes to show that success is possible here and that good news can come from Serbia too, said Kovacevic, adding that EXIT also contributes to the growth of tourism in the country.

Novi Sad has seen a 30 percent increase in the number of tourists, he specified, noting that the festival can also boost the development of creative industries and make Serbia one of the European leaders in this field.
