CACAK B92 Fund’s representatives on Wednesday visited the Dr. Dragisa Misovic Health Center in Cacak to deliver a new incubator for the needs of this institution. The incubator was provided as part of the fund's extensive humanitarian campaign Battle for the Babies. New incubator for health center in central Serbia The acquisition of this incubator was made possible by Sports Betting Mozzart whose representative Zoran Puhac underlined the significance of this battle that Mozzart supports from the start. The mayor of Cacak, Vojislav Ilic was also present on this occasion, announcing that local self managements will join the campaign “Battle for the Babies” with more concrete steps. General Manager of the health center, Dr. Momcilo Spasic toured the hospital in the presence of the guests, and informed them of the current needs of this crucial medical center for the Morava District. “It is interesting that until now the economic and local community of Cacak hadn’t taken part in this campaign, despite its various initiatives, while the demands are very high. Therefore, Mozzart decided to donate one of four incubators to Cacak. As a follow up, apart from the new incubators, it is necessary to acquire for the needs of this health center, the following pieces of equipment: reanimation table with CPAP device, pulse oximeters, AMBU balloons, lamps for phototherapy, monitors for closely following newborn’s vital functions, aspirators, mobile pendulums, and other related equipment, including three additional incubators. Given that the needs of this center are rather big, it is of utmost importance to include local self-governance into it. We hope that local businessmen will join us in this battle, thus doing what’s in their power for the youngest citizens in the Morava District on the whole”, B92 Fund Board of Directors President Veran Matic stated. (B92) Announcing joining of the local governance to the follow up of the Battle for the Babies, Mayor Ilic expressly said that a revised budget will be proposed on the first municipal meeting, when certain funds will be allocated for improving the work of maternity wards and Health Center Cacak in general. As it is the issue of general interest, Ilic expects that such a move will reach consensus with all the members of Municipal City Assembly, announcing that the support will be offered and continued after 2012. Among priority issues of the concrete support in improving the work of Health Center Cacak, there is acquisition of the vehicles for transporting patients to dialysis. When it comes to the humanitarian campaign, the city self-government plans to familiarize the whole district with it, especially businessmen, so that we can in a short period of time provide most urgent equipment for the Cacak maternity wards. As an initial step in the follow up of the Battle for Maternity Wards in Morava District, the B92 Fund will launch the campaign of collecting funds on Friday, September 14, during a traditional farming gathering dubbed Cabbage Fair, held in the nearby village of Mrcajevci. The Tourist Organization of Cacak has also supported this campaign, and it will be our partner in this campaign during the forthcoming weekend. B92 Fund’s volunteers will be present at Cabbage Fair from September 14-16, on their sale-promotional stands, which will give the residents of the Morava District opportunity to support the campaign that pertains to the future of Serbia in general. Battle for Maternity Wards is being waged in more than 50 health institutions throughout Serbia. In every one of them, the battle for life goes on. Battle for the babies continues.
