Belgrade is at the bottom of the list for the best European cities in terms of shopping tourism, the Globe Shopper City Index-Europe showed.

Belgrade is at the bottom of the list for the best European cities in terms of shopping tourism, the Globe Shopper City Index-Europe showed. The list was created by the British magazine the Economist. Belgrade at bottom of shopping tourism list The index was assessing 33 European cities. Each city was ranked according to 38 criteria grouped into five categories: shops, affordability, convenience, hotels and transport, and culture and climate, and Belgrade took the 31st spot in the overall score. London took the crown in the Index, with the overall score of 67.3, Madrid and Barcelona have 67.1 each, Paris 65.5, whereas Rome has the index 62.9. Below Belgrade, which scored 43.6 out of 100, are only Oslo (43.1) and Geneva (41). There were no more cities from the former Yugoslav countries on the list, while the neighboring Budapest occupied the 10 th place, with 59.6 points, and Bucharest and Sofia are sharing the 24 th position, with 52.2.
