President Boris Tadic attended the Gregorian calendar Christmas Eve celebrations with ethnic Slovaks, Hungarians, Croats and other minorities. Tadic was at a Slovak Evangelical Church in the village of Lalic in Vojvodina and later attended mass with Hungarians in St. Laslo Church in Bogojevo. President of the Executive Council of Vojvodina Bojan Pajtic and Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic accompanied the president in all three villages. Serbia's majority Orthodox Serb Christians will celebrate Christmas on January 7.
