President Boris Tadic attended the Gregorian calendar Christmas Eve celebrations with ethnic Slovaks, Hungarians, Croats and other minorities. Tadic was at a Slovak Evangelical Church in the village of Lalic in Vojvodina and later attended mass with Hungarians in St. Laslo Church in Bogojevo. "After that I am going to Sonta to celebrate Christmas with our Croats and send a message of peace and good, true relations here in Serbia and our Vojvodina," Tadic pointed out before wishing a merry Christmas in Hungarian. President of the Executive Council of Vojvodina Bojan Pajtic and Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic accompanied the president in all three villages. Serbia's majority Orthodox Serb Christians will celebrate Christmas on January 7.
