A ceremonial donation of 24 ambulances to health institutions will take place in front of the Palace of Serbia at 14:30, according to the Health Ministry. Head of the European Commission delegation to Serbia, Josep Lloveras, Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic and Health Minister Tomica Milosavljevic will be giving the keys to the vehicles to the directors of six health institutions in Serbia. Health institutions to receive 24 ambulances from EU The donations are part of an EU project titled “Technical Support to Reform of Emergency Medical Services in Serbia”. The ambulances are all equipped to the latest European norms and standards. The aim of the project is to assist the Health Ministry in bringing emergency medical health services in Serbia closer to EU standards. “The project’s implementation will see the introduction of the European emergency services telephone number of 112, while efforts will be made to adopt new regulations and systems designed to cut waiting numbers for organ transplants,” reads a statement from the Health Ministry.
