The government has decided to promote Serbia's new passports with a campaign. Serbian nationals will, starting at the end of May, be issued with new, modern, biometric passports. "New passports—Serbia's new face" Now the government has decided that the first 204 of the new travel documents will go to those Serbians, who, although not household names or promoted in the media, are recognized for their humanitarian work, exceptional results while studying, professional achievement or promotion of Serbia abroad. A jury will be set up to select the winners of the contest. The campaign, dubbed New Passports—New Face of Serbia, was announced from the cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, DS. For the first time since 1918, Serbians will carry passports issued by the state of Serbia and featuring state emblems.
