The new passports look excellent & it's wonderful to see Serbia establishing an identity of its own. I am curious as to if/how a Serb in Kosovo will acquire one if desired?

Also, KS: Is it really necessary to make the typical American-jerk comment? It's people like you that make us all look bad.

"Wait a second. Republic of Serbia? Serbska Republic? Are you trying to pull a willy nilly?

What good will this passport serve when you will need a visa for every country you wish to visit. Try visiting America and you will see the visa regime all over you; and please don't start that "I never want to go there" because we all know that before a [Hollywood] movie comes out the Serbs are already watching a stolen version. If you'd never want to go there, you wouldn't be watching movies about it.

I would have thought both a visa and a passport would be required. As for the rest of your post, your argument is a total non sequitur - visas to pirated movies in one go.

#5, though you claim what I say is wrong you have actually confirmed what I said to be correct - this is the first new passport in the past decade with 1996 being 12 years ago now.

The crown is a heraldic part of Serbian history, yes it does make the country seem like a Kingdom rather than a Republic but its still very important.

Serbia is not the only country to use a royal emblem on in its modern history. Poland,Georgia,Russia all have crowns or other royal images depicted on their coat of arms.

The passports looks great, except I would rather the passports were navy blue in colour.

Completely wrong Answer!
Let me remeber you,the old one (Red Passport) with the symbol of RSFJ and date 29-XI-1943 until 1996-97.
The second:BLU passport! which is until now days...
The Third, this one...Red same color as the first!

That must be the third passport in about 10 years for the Serbs.

I hope you don't have to pay £50 (€70) for one like we do in the UK!

RE : Serbian Symbols

Why is the crown still above the symbol, this is incorrect and should be removed from both the flag and all symbols.

Serbia is not a constitutional monarchy in symbolism and reality.

This is not an attack on the Royal family, but reality.

Does Serbia want to appear to be a constitutional monarcy?
