The front pages of the Belgrade dailies today are dominated with news about the MUP chief's traffic accident. BLIC—"Airbag saves Jocic" the paper reports about the car crash that left Interior Minister Dragan Jocic seriously injured late Friday. Press: Minister's battle after car crash Serbia's veteran dissident from the Communist era, Professor Zagroka Golubovic, has called on the young people to vote in the Feb. 3 second round of presidential elections: "Turn out and vote, do not allow 1999 to return". VECERNJE NOVOSTI—"Jocic's hard battle", says the front page as it reports about the minister's spine and neck injuries. "I will not be blackmailed", Boris Tadic is quoted in another headline. The incumbent president will not accept Kostunica's conditions in return for the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) endorsmement ahead of the showdown in the polls with Radical Tomislav Nikolic.
