Today’s editions of the Belgrade dailies focus on Verano Motors’ purchase of RK Beograd at auction yesterday. Also featuring are the protests in the Republic of Srpska (RS) at High Representative Miroslav Lajcak’s measures. Press: RK Beograd sale, RS protests BLIC – “Greeks buy RK Beograd” is the title of an article about yesterday’s sale of the department store chain. “Wedding and removals work drowned out gunshots” concerns the murders in the suburb of Zarkovo on Sunday, claiming that police are hunting for two suspects. BORBA – “Problem can be solved” covers yesterday’s Troika talks in Vienna. In “It depends on Carla”, the daily writes about Serbia’s chances of initialing the Stabilization and Association Agreement. VECERNJE NOVOSTI – “Verano is new boss” is the banner of an article on the sale of RK Beograd. Under the headline “Neutral or pact, only people can decide”, the paper looks at reactions to the Democratic Party of Serbia’s declaration of Serbian military neutrality. POLITIKA – “We’re fighting for RS, not against Bosnia” is the title of an article about the RS protests. The sale of RK Beograd is featured in “Verano beats Cepter and Miskovic“. “Spiric resigns“ concerns the potential resignation of the president of the Bosnian Council of Ministers, in the event of the high representative failing to revoke his measures. PRESS – “Simovic destroys Cume” is a reference to the trial at the Special Court. Entitled “Brazilian, but Serb too”, the paper writes that Partizan player Zuka wants to apply for Serbian citizenship.
