The Court has summoned former Military Intelligence Chief Aca Tomić to testify in Zoran Đinđić’s assassination trial.

New witnesses in Đinđić trial
Tomić’s neighbors said he had moved to his home village near Mladenovac. The local Police are expected to deliver the subpoena.Đinđić family lawyer Srđa Popović demanded earlier that new witnesses had to be heard.
In addition to the former Military Intelligence Chief, Popović listed outgoing Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica, former Police Chief Miroslav Milošević, outgoing Interior Minister Dragan Jočić, State Television Director Aleksandar Tijanić, former Interior Control Chief Vladimir Božović, and former prime minister of the Republic of Srpska Krajina Borislav Mikelić.
“By insisting on these witnesses, Popović wanted to bring into focus a link between the Red Berets’ uprising and the political background of the assassination.” legal representative of Đinđić family Nino Došen Majkić told B92.
“Popović informed the Court of Aca Tomić’s involvement in the Red Berets’ rebellion as he submitted his witnesses list.” Majkić said
