Dodik investigated "within Pavlovic Bank probe"

He thus confirmed that his office found no basis to indict the leader of the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina when it comes to "some earlier complaints filed against him" but that Dodik now faces the probe into the manner in which he acquired a villa in Belgrade worth more than EUR 750,000 - said the N1 broadcaster, quoted by Tanjug on Wednesday..

The criminal complaint in that case was filed against Dodik by the SDS party, that is in opposition in the RS, accusing the RS president of paying for the villa in cash, "while obtaining a fictitious loan from the Pavlovic Bank that served as to cover up the suspicious transaction."

The bank's owner, Slobodan Pavlovic and several of his employees were arrested earlier this year,, but the Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina decided to set them free pending the completion of investigative procedures.

The search of the bank's premises did no turn up a copy of Dodik's loan contract. At the same time, such a loan has not been registered in the central registry maintained by the Central Bank of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Salihovic said that the prosecution was "under enormous pressure - but would not falter in the prosecution of crimes that endanger the stability of the country."
